Accuracy and Clarity
Formulas, conversion factors, examples, tables, labels, and calculator outputs should be mathematically consistent. Explanations use direct language and identify the source unit, target unit, and applicable measurement system.
Decimal and Binary Units
Decimal SI units use multiples of 1,000 and include KB, MB, GB, TB, and PB. Binary IEC units use multiples of 1,024 and include KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB, and PiB. Pages distinguish these systems whenever the difference affects a result.
Calculator Review
New and updated calculators are checked with representative values, including zero, fractional values, common whole numbers, and conversions in both directions. Displayed formulas and worked examples are compared with calculator results.
Sources and Attribution
Technical terminology follows recognized SI and IEC conventions where applicable. Content should not copy unsupported claims from other calculators. External facts that require attribution should be linked to an appropriate primary or authoritative source.
Corrections and Updates
