Our editorial work focuses on digital storage, file size, computer memory, bandwidth, and data transfer conversions. Content distinguishes decimal SI units such as KB, MB, and GB from binary IEC units such as KiB, MiB, and GiB.
How Content Is Prepared
Calculator pages are prepared from the conversion factor appropriate to the selected units. Editors check formulas, worked examples, calculator outputs, terminology, labels, and internal links before publication. See our Editorial Guidelines for the full review standard.
Review and Updates
Pages are reviewed when a calculator changes, an error is reported, or clearer technical guidance is needed. Decimal and binary results are checked separately to reduce ambiguity between similarly named units.
